Horny Dragon's Hoard

A dragon with his unconventional hoard.
Two years ago, ArtOrder hosted a contest for drawing tiny dragons for a book they were assembling on that topic. I drew a few small dragons and was exploring the idea of a dragon's hoard, and what other things it could be aside from gold. This was one of my sketches, and seeing the unintentionally lascivious smile on this dragon's face instantly made my wife and I suspect what he would hoard. However, that wasn't really appropriate for the family-friendly nature of this book/contest, so instead I developed a tiny dragon hoarding buttons. (Also in my portfolio here.) My sketch of the Horned Dragon sat there for a long while; I always new I'd paint it some day. And as it turned out, I finally set aside the time to do so. :)
